Our office is saying our sweet farewells to a great man who has always been dedicated to his patients and the art of dentistry. The time has come for Dr. Gary J. Schmid, DDS to retire. He has helped patients of all ages and in some cases was grateful to be granted the opportunity to work with 3 generations of a single family. We know you will miss Dr. Gary Schmid as much as we do. But don’t you worry, Dr. Schmid has wonderful news to share before moving back to his hometown of Tucson, Arizona. He cares deeply about all his patients and would like you all to know he has found a great dentist to lead to the team!
Our Torrance practice is happy to introduce Dr. Erin C Lobo Marwah (you can call her Dr. Courtney Lobo for short). She shares the same philosophy that Dr. Schmid has when it comes to treating patients. Current patients can expect the same impeccable dental care that they normally would. Dr. Lobo’s skills and experience are well trusted in general dentistry, cosmetic dentistry, and restorative dentistry. She is even trained to care for children. She is dedicated to creating a positive experience from the instant you walk through our doors.
To get a bit of background on who Dr. Courtney Lobo, DDs is she would like to share that she grew up in the San Francisco Bay area. She received her undergraduate degree from my alma mater UCLA. She obtained her dental degree from the University of California, San Francisco.
Following her graduation from dental school in 2009 she continued her dental education by taking a year of general practice residency at the VA Loma Linda Healthcare System, and a second year of residency training at VA Greater West Los Angeles Healthcare System where she was chief resident. She has since practiced in both the public health and private sectors. Dr. Lobo lives in Torrance with her husband and young son.
We will continue to provide patients the personalized care to suit their individual dental needs. The high standards in your safety and care will remain our priority. Lobo, DDS believes that prevention is key in dental care. For this reason, educating current and new patients on the keys to maintaining optimal dental health.
